Who is eligible to vote in a general election?
To vote in a UK general election you must:
- Be 18 or over on the day of the election.
- Be a British, Irish or qualifying Commonwealth citizen.
- Be resident at an address in the UK (or a British citizen living abroad who has been registered to vote in the UK in the last 15 years).
- Not be legally excluded from voting.

Two new websites have been launched offering a reliable source of information for our residents and partners about the move toward unitary governance in Northamptonshire.
Named 'Future Northants North' and 'Future Northants West' they carry the same core information while outlining the separate processes being followed in the north and west of the county.

Summer is just around the corner, and we all need to ensure that young people stay safe in and around the lakes and rivers in the area.
Please advise family members, friends about the dangers of swimming in open water of lakes and rivers.
