PLEASE LET US KNOW ASAP IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO JOIN US ON ANY OF THE TRIPS - we need an idea of numbers in order to notify the garden owners, who can then better cater for us with tea and cakes. (If we do not have at least 15-20 in our group we may have to cancel.)

If you require transport to any of the above gardens, please contact us in plenty of time and we will do our best to find a place in someone's car. If you are able to help with lifts, please contact us.

A group of people on a walk

Sywell Strollers: was formed in November 2010.The main aim of the group is to get people to walk more frequently and gradually build up their stamina. A second aim is to bring together like-minded folk who en!oy the outdoors and sharing some time with each other and, for whatever reason, people who would not normally walk on their own. The walks are usually around or near to local villages, are not too strenuous and usually take approximately 1.5 hrs to complete.

We have over 40 planned walks which we choose from, this depends on the general weather conditions at the time and the state of the ground underfoot.

• Sywell Strollers meet in the car park of The Horseshoe public house in Sywell between 10.00 and 10.15 am on walk days.
• Walks take place every first and third Friday and every second and fourth Wednesday in each month.
• There is no required commitment to walk every week.
• If the weather is really inclement walks might be cancelled.
• Membership is entirely free, but a voluntary collection is made towards an annual donation for different local charities.

We extend a cordial invitation to join Sywell Strollers and look forward to seeing you on one or more of the walks in the near future. Please contact us if you wish to know more about the group. Barbara and Ian Thompson
